This team reports into the Director of Development & Operations and the CIO to ensure that the CIO’s vision is implemented in alignment with meeting the needs of our customers and our business, focussing on 5 core foundations, the 5C, Cloud, Convergence, Consolidation, Compliance and Cyber.
This team also works with the Portfolio & Programmes teams to ensure that what is delivered, aligns with the original agreement and the Technology roadmap.

Share Business Demand & Deliver
IS Business Partners are advisers for the business, working closely with the Business Units and Group functions to ensure informed business decisions can be made using accurate information. They help to shape solutions and work with the Business Units to define the business benefits and help build Business Cases. They are also responsible for ensuring the solution delivers the benefits as laid out in the Business Case.
Technology Innovation, Partnership and Development
Create & Test Solutions
Reporting into the Director of Development & Operations, the team have a focus on how best to adopt new technologies that benefit Mitie and our Customers working closely with key technology companies such as Vodafone, Wipro, Microsoft, AWS, IBM, SAP etc… but also to work with these companies to develop solutions that delivers on the Business Strategy and in line with the IT Strategy. Whether this be aligned with our ESME solution (AI driven solution), our Data Lake (that consolidates data flowing through Mitie systems and facilitates MI) or development performed by our key delivery partners, this team ensure that the quality of what IS deliver and alignment to requirements is achieved.
Operations & Service Management
Keep Everything Running
Reporting into the Director of Development & Operations, the Operations & Service Management teams provide 24X7 support to all internal and external facing IT systems. Working closely with our partner Wipro to ensure all the core applications, network and Mitie IT infrastructure are fully operational, monitored and in good health.
Ensure We Are Secure and Compliant
The Information Security team provides support to Mitie on all Information Security related matters through technical operations, policy management and general consultancy. They maintain an Information Security Management System to prevent and detect threats to electronic and non-electronic information. The team also operates to international security standards and maintains the Security Awareness for Everyone (SAFE) programme to ensure everyone is aware of their responsibilities in keeping both Mitie and client information safe.
Programme and Portfolio Management
Reporting into the Director of Programmes & Transformation, the Portfolio & Programme Management team have a group wide role across Mitie, not just within IS. They work with the Business Partners and key stakeholders across the wider organisation, Business, IS and delivery partners, to define Projects and Programmes, ensure benefits are clear and traceable, govern the projects that are delivered to provide predictable delivery. This team also works with the sponsors post deployment of projects to ensure that benefits that were committed are delivered.
